This is not a weight loss program, it's a program designed to strengthen digestion, balance hormones, and reduce inflammation - through that work, you may release some weight depending on what is needed for you. If weight loss is a goal of yours, you can tell me that in the intake process and I'll make note of it when building Your Personal Roadmap but that's not the primary focus since weight is a symptom, not a root cause.
If weight loss concerns you because you'd like to maintain or gain weight, the same applies. It's built around your needs for your body and goals!
Absolutely! I have a blend of clients with and without diagnosis, but if you're symptomatic, we'd like to support you at a root cause level all the same.
The great thing about this being bio-individual, is the program really begins with Your Personal Roadmap that's created just for you. I'll have you fill out key intake forms including a deep dive symptom burden analysis and will learn about your health and lifestyle, taking all of it into account in my personal recommendations for you. So, no matter what's going on for you, I'll know and have taken that into account. If I have more specific questions for you, I'll reach out to elaborate and will be sending you a thorough explanation of your roadmap. You'll have access to me for questions and support for 10-weeks thereafter as you use it!
We'll all together be working on foundational, key practices to get in tune with your body and enable your success in practicing your recommendations.
Great question. The meal plans are all Paleo and AIP-friendly, meaning they're NOT strict AIP, as it's not an AIP program. But labels on recipes and ingredients will show for AIP since many people may have sensitivities to foods like nightshades or other AIP eliminations.
Meal Plans include grocery lists, meal prep steps that are all under 2-hrs, and recipes. The recipes will include 1 animal protein and veggies with each meal. If you don't eat pork or fish for example, you can easily swap with another protein. You'll have 2 breakfasts, 4 entrees and an optional dessert if that's what you'd like. They serve 4, so you can scale up or down based on how many you're cooking for and I have more direction to support you with that.
You don't need to follow meal plans at all, but many people find them helpful to use as a template and way to save time, money, and energy on cooking as home cooking will be a big part of your journey while I teach you also how to dine out safely with food sensitivities.
Only if you're open to including some animal protein at meals (at least eggs and fish or poultry). If not, this is not the best fit.

The beauty of this program is there's no one-size-fits-all approach since you'll be following Your Personal Roadmap with nutrition and lifestyle recommendations that I'm creating solely based on YOUR symptom analysis, health history, and goals. While there will certainly be guidelines and template suggestions to give you structure, this is NOT an AIP program or an elimination diet program by any means. This is a program to get you in tune with your body so you can nourish your body with food and beyond, every single day, no matter what's going on.
If you're familiar with my work, you may have heard me say "I want you to eat MORE food, not less" - it's not good to keep losing/ eliminating in the name of health. That said, of course, I may shine a light on a handful of foods that will be best to steer clear of if they're causing inflammation and damaging your health. But we will focus on what you CAN have vs. "can't".
Sometimes it's truly hard to picture anything else when we come from a history of healing diets or food fear, but we'll break out of that mold together. You'll have the knowledge, guidance, accountability and support to create your own "YOU" diet, find peace and balance with food and your body, and not have restrictions or deprivation forced down your throat because that simply does not work (and usually backfires) - I've been there, and many of my clients have too, so you're not alone.
All you need to join this program is the burning desire to transform your health and to accept the help and support to do so, in a safe container for the next few months. If you're concerned about "willpower" or something... I'm going to teach you why that's not the key and doesn't work longterm (and probably why things haven't worked in the past). We are going to go much deeper than all of that with mind-body/mindset work in parallel to the nutrition work.
Above all, you'll be using Your Personal Roadmap which will have a meal template recommendation for you. I also have included my bonus meal templates which literally anyone can use with whatever ingredients you CAN have. It doesn't get more flexible than that!
The meal prep plans are there solely for convenience-sake and to provide examples of meals. There will be a common swaps resource for you to use to make easy substitutions to ingredients if you have any issues and we are all here to help with ideas!
You can also use meal plans, recipes, and your personal meal template as a way to inspire your own creations. We're here to support you to make it work either way. And no one has to follow the meal plans, they're there as an additional convenience.
That's great! So many of my clients have a *team* of practitioners they work with, including a FMD/ND. However, they recognize that each practitioner has their own role and doctors are more diagnostic in nature, and not there to support you in the day-to-day with nutrition, habits, mindset, and integrating all these lifestyle changes into your busy lifestyle.
Many people who don't work with holistic doctors also don't have the opportunity to do this type of work at all, so it's a great compliment to a primary care doctor or endocrine specialist as well. I'll already ask you in the intake forms what supplements and meds you're taking to not steep on any toes!
Supplements I may recommend are mostly optional.
I'd always recommend speaking to your doctor when starting a new health intervention if you're unsure.

That all depends on your insurance coverage. You may be able to submit a "Superbill" for Health/Wellness Coaching after payment is made directly from you. Simply double-check with your insurance company to ask if they'll cover a Health/Wellness Coaching program for your health conditions/concerns, and if yes, after you've enrolled and completed all your intake forms- email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and request a Superbill (it's like a receipt/statement).
Insurance may not cover this service or any additional labs you may want to try in the future.
Depending on your HSA/FSA plan, you may be able to purchase any supplements you want to buy, but you should double check.
We'll take a poll at the beginning with our group to try and catch a good time for all of us, but as you can guess, some people may need to adjust their calendar! And I always recommend adding the calls to your calendar so the time is blocked off.
Of course, things come up or change, so you can watch the recording if you miss a meeting.

On a weekly basis, plan for 1 hour for each meeting and an additional hour for any "homework" or practices on average.
There will be 1 "makeup" week to catch up on any journals or recordings you missed along the way!
Great question! You'll fill out 3-4 intake forms, one includes a brief food/mood journal, another is a history form, and another is the "Nutri-Q" symptom burden analysis, which is a very deep dive into your daily qualitative symptoms that I'll use together to create your Personal Roadmap. I will also ask about your personality and lifestyle to ensure we are taking into account what will fit well into your life.
You'll have plenty of areas to tell me also about any health conditions, meds, and current supplements that will all be taken into account.
No, unfortunately, I'm not trained on DTC tests nor are they the most accurate, so I don't recommend them in general. They may also be outdated and irrelevant. We will cover plenty with the intake forms and symptom burden analysis -- don't worry!
Additionally, if you have a past GI-Map test, this will not be used in your protocol. I will only work with GI-Map tests that I run and that are most up to date (working with an old test won't be useful to you).
You'll have an opportunity to join a continuity/maintenance program with monthly meetings, meal plans, resources, and more to keep you supported and accountable all year long! No worries.
If you also need more 1:1 support or labs done, you'll have an opportunity to chat with me about that as we wrap up the program.
The beauty about this program is it's a hybrid and while it is a group, it's a small private group so you'll have plenty of individual attention on our coaching calls and in the private chat group. It's also an extra value to have a group because it adds more support and accountability (more than I could ever give you just in a 1 to 1 setting) while also normalizing these lifestyle changes we are choosing to go through ... most of my clients don't have families and friends that are doing this with them. They may be super supportive, which is great, but it's very different to go through it with a team vs. alone and it will set you up for even more success. I'm an introvert, I'm more private, I get feeling like it might not be your vibe and have had many clients in the past also feel skeptical about it but turned out loving it and have even made friends inside the group.
And if after going through the program, you'd like to work 1:1 with me, you will have the opportunity to!

Using my cookbook's recipes with your personal meal template will be like throwing GAS ON THE FIRE, baby... so they will compliment eachother for sure but this program is next level.
There will rarely be a 10-week stretch in our busy lives that won't have some sort of occasion, birthday, travel, work event, etc. (the list goes on and on)... there's no reason to put off your health because of it and, in many ways, it's a perfect way to "stress test" your new habits because you'll want them to be sustainable for you regardless of what's happening on your calendar. Not only in some sort of bubble that isn't real life.
I've worked with clients before and during this global pandemic, with unforeseen uphevels and changes in their lives like homeschooling, losing jobs (or shift-working as a frontline worker during the pandemic), financial hardship, severe health flare-ups, and family deaths. I've had programs lasting 4-weeks, 10-weeks, 3-months up until a full year and I'm there to support them through whatever life throws their way. And they're always grateful they had this crucial support through it. You'll also have 6-month access to everything if you need to revisit.
